FORBES: New York City’s Most Stylish Cocktail Parties And Events, So Far

To kick off Pride Month, the New York City AIDS Memorial and the Whitney Museum hosted the second annual Legends of Drag, which was held in collaboration with the creators of a photo book released by Abrams publishers in 2022 called the Legends Of Drag: Queens Of A Certain Age. This event celebrated the elder drag queens who paved the way for the younger generation today. The live revue featured performances from Princess Diandra, Lawanda Jackson, Simone, Egyptt LaBeija, and Ruby Rims, with the night’s emcee, Linda Simpson. The event on June 5 coincided with HIV/AIDS long-term survivor awareness day.
