Event: A Village Gathering - To Honor and Remember

Co-presented with Art2Action Inc., Greenwich House, the Rattlestick Playwright's Theater, and Village Preservation

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Greenwich House Music School, The New York City AIDS Memorial, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Art2Action, Inc., and Village Preservation held “A Village Gathering” at the New York City AIDS Memorial Park. Our organizations joined together to create space for reflection, remembrance, and creative expression. This event, held under the shade of the AIDS Memorial, and surrounding park grounds offered attendees and passersby a communal experience to mark this day. There were also opportunities for community members to record their own stories as part of this event.

Hosted by Troy Anthony, the afternoon featured selections from Andrea Assaf's 11 Reflections, Ash Marinaccio's 20 Years Later, and James Scruggs' Severe Clear, with music by Scott Johnson and Victor Caccese.
