WORLD AIDS DAY
PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HOUSING WORKS
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 6 PM
MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 10 AM—6 PM
About the Event
Each year in December, we acknowledge those lost to and impacted by HIV/AIDS and champion the ongoing fight against the epidemic. To commemorate World AIDS Day, the New York City AIDS Memorial will host its annual, free, and public observance featuring two days of programming in collaboration with organizations dedicated to bringing communities together in the fight to end AIDS.
Free and public events begin on Sunday, December 1 at 6 PM with the 33rd Annual Out of the Darkness candlelight vigil. On Monday, December 2, beginning at 10 AM, we host our annual community gathering and reading of names of New Yorkers lost to AIDS with Housing Works. More information and a full schedule will be published soon.
Location
All events will be held at the New York City AIDS Memorial, rain or shine.
Thanks
Community programming at the New York City AIDS Memorial is made possible, in part, by the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation. Special thanks to Housing Works for their advocacy and support.
