John Giorno Book Launch at the NYC AIDS Memorial
On October 1, 2020 the New York City AIDS Memorial was proud to partner with the John Giorno Foundation, Brooklyn Rail, Karma Bookstore, and Farrar, Straus & Giroux to present the launch of Giorno’s new memoir, Great Demon Kings. The socially-distanced evening of readings and remarks included appearances by Phong Bui, Penny Arcade, Elizabeth Kley, Jamison Fitzpatrick, Lee Ranaldo, and Leah Singer among others.
Celebrating and Honoring Pride
The New York City AIDS Memorial is thrilled to host an installation – Let Equality Bloom – at the Memorial for NYC Pride Weekend. Created and designed by Floratorium, with floral art by Pic and Petal, and Sophie Parker (WIFE NYC), the installation will be up from June 26-30, 2020. Many thanks to the artists
World AIDS Day 2019: Advent Carol Service

World AIDS Day 2019: 28th Out of the Darkness
Please join us on December 1, 2019 for World AIDS Day programming. A candlelight vigil begins at 6 PM at the New York City AIDS Memorial (Greenwich Avenue & West 12th Street) and continues to St. John’s Lutheran Church (81 Christopher Street) for time of reflection and reading of names of those we have lost.
